TiMi Studio Group’s upcoming action-RPG Honor of Kings: World recently got a new trailer and playable demo at this year’s gamescom.
To be exact, the new trailer was shown a few days ago at Opening Night Live, and it features an in-depth look at the game’s open-world setting. Plus, the trailer also features action-packed combat scenes, as well as some puzzle-solving elemnets.
Check out the new trailer here:
For those who missed its initial reveal, this game is set in the universe of the hit MOBA, Honor of Kings. Described as an “Eastern Fantasy,” this game promises to expand the HoK universe, all while being accessible to those who don’t play the original Honor of Kings game.
As for its gameplay, Honor of Kings: World is a real-time action-RPG with a style-switching mechanic. How it works is that players can equip two fighting styles and freely switch between them in the middle of battle. Each style has three standard abilities and one Ultimate skill, with the skill synergies feeling rather reminiscent of the HoK MOBA game.
While its combat is the highlight, the game also promises to deliver various other features like crafting, house-building, and more. Plus, the game will also be free-to-play.
As for its story, it’s described as:
In Honor of Kings: World, players take on the role of a new student at Jixia Academy, a renowned institution made up of three specialist schools for gifted individuals. Along the way, they’ll meet fellow students, mentors, and legendary heroes from the original Honor of Kings, uncovering the mysteries of the Wonders and “the Flow” – a unique energy source that shapes the land’s story.
The game is playable for the first time right now at gamescom 2025. As such, attendees can try a demo build of the game on PC, giving them a proper taste of what to expect.
For now, there’s no word yet on a release date for this new Honor of Kings game. For gamescom though, the event is happening now until August 24 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
