Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025: The biggest reveals and trailers

Here's a rundown of Opening Night Live 2025's highlight announcements!

Gamescom 2025 is here, and to open the event, Geoff Keighley once again hosted Opening Night Live, featuring plenty of big reveals and announcements.

Much like last year’s showcase, Opening Night Live 2025 was quite a show, as it had plenty of exciting trailers, including brand-new reveals as well as updates for previously announced games.

In case you missed the show, here’s a rundown of the event’s highlight reveals:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Black Ops 7 is set in the year of 2035, and it will tie in quite heavily with previous fan-favorite Black Ops titles.

This next CoD game launches on November 14.

Lords of the Fallen 2

It has been a while since the launch of the first game, so it’s great to see that Lords of the Fallen 2 is coming in 2026.

Sekiro: No Defeat

FromSoftware’s 2019 GOTY winner is officially getting an anime adaptation, and it’s coming exclusively to Crunchyroll.

Monster Hunter Wilds x Final Fantasy XIV collab + Omega Planetes

Monster Hunter Wilds will see Chocobos invade with this new crossover. Plus, players can expect to see Omega Planetes this September.

Onimusha Way of the Sword

Opening Night Live also featured a new trailer for the new Onimusha game, coming in 2026.

Fallout Season 2

The Amazon Prime Video series Fallout is heading to New Vegas in Season 2. At ONL 2025, Jonathan Nolan and Geneva Robertson-Dworet along with stars Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten teased the new season and introduced a new trailer. The show is also set to return on December 17.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – The Order of Giants

The next Great Circle DLC will launch on September 4, featuring a new adventure. Plus, the game will also launch on the Switch 2 in 2026.

World of Tanks 2.0

This 2.0 update’s trailer doesn’t show gameplay, but it still promises to be the game’s biggest one yet, and it will launch on September.

Thankfully, this big update got a meatier showcase that runs down some of its highlight additions.

Zero Parades

ZA/UM shared a new trailer for its next project, Zero Parades. While many of the staff from Disco Elysium is no longer with the studio, the trailer features gameplay snippets that look a lot like Disco.

Ninja Gaiden 4

Xbox shared the world premiere trailer of Ninja Gaiden 4. This game is being co-developed by Platinum Games, and from the looks of it, this game will feature some Metal Gear Rising-like elements.

Silent Hill f – English Trailer

Ahead of the game’s launch next month, Konami shared an English-language trailer for Silent Hill f. Aside from new gameplay snippets, it also reveals that Suzie Yeung (Yuffie in FF7 Remake) is voicing protagonist Hinako Shimizu.

Cronos: The New Dawn

From Bloober Team comes Cronos, an intriguing new horror experience. Opening Night Live featured a new action-packed trailer for the game ahead of its September 5 launch.

The Outer Worlds 2

Obsidian Entertainment shared a new trailer for The Outer World 2, and it puts the spotlight on the game’s companions.

World of Warcraft: Midnight

WoW’s 11th expansion got the spotlight near the end of Opening Night Live. Specifically, Blizzard shared Midnight’s official cinematic that’s as eye-catching as always.

World of Tanks: Heat

Aside from World of Tanks 2.0, Wargaming also shared the reveal trailer for Heat, a new tank action game.

Ghost of Yotei Legends

Sucker Punch shared a new trailer for Ghost of Yotei that focuses on the game’s gorgeous Hokkaido srtting and Atsu’s vengeance. Plus, Sucker Punch confirmed that the Ghost of Yotei Legends multiplayer mode eill launch in 2026.

Resident Evil Requiem

One of the most anticipated parts of Opening Night Live, is the new trailer for Resident Evil Requiem. This trailer finally features more story details that should delight RE fans. After all, it features Grace’s mom, Alyssa Ashcroft. Plus, the trailer confirmed that a fan-favorite character is returning.

Black Myth: Zhong Kui

Black Myth: Wukong studio Game Science is working on its next Black Myth: Zhong Kui. The new trailer features an impressive cinematic sequence.
