After its initial rollout back in April, Maya held a star-studded official launch of the Maya Black Credit Card and Maya Black Preferred.
How star-studded, you might ask? Well, Maya brought their newest brand ambassadors – Julia Barretto, Maris Racal, and Jericho Rosales – three names that most Filipinos should definitely be familiar with.
Of course, while the appearances of these new brand ambassadors got a lot of attention, the highlight of the launch event was still the Maya Black Credit Card itself. Since its rollout a few months ago, Maya Black has reached over 40,000 cardholders. This isn’t too surprising, considering that the card offers fast digital approval, instant virtual issuance, and full in-app control, giving it an edge over other bank credit cards.

Some of the card’s other features include:
- 3,000 bonus miles upon physical card activation and PHP 5,000 spend within 60 days;
- Access to global airport lounges via DragonPass, including PAGSS and Marhaba lounges at NAIA;
- Global acceptance at over 130 million merchants via Visa;
- Advanced security, with numberless design, in-app controls and freeze/replace features.
To complement the new card, Maya also has the new Maya Black Preferred rewards program. With over 600 partner merchants, the Maya Black rewards program allows cardholders to earn up to 10x Maya Miles when they shop with participating businesses.
“We’re not just launching a credit card—we’re activating the full power of Maya’s ecosystem,” said Shailesh Baidwan, Maya Group President and Maya Bank Co-Founder. “With innovations like the Maya Black Preferred partner program, we will not only expand access to credit but also create even greater value for consumers and businesses alike.”
