TiMi Studio Group today debuted a new trailer for Monster Hunter Outlanders, coinciding with the first day of Tokyo Game Show 2025. Along with the trailer, TGS 2025 attendees will also be the first to try the game out with its playable demo on the show floor. Plus, details about the upcoming closed beta test in November were shared.
In case you missed its initial reveal, Outlanders is a new Monster Hunter game that’s being developed by TiMI Studio Group and licensed by Capcom. In this game, players can get monster hunting action wherever they go as Outlanders promises to feature the series’ signature mechanics, while making things more streamlined for mobile.
This new game will be set on an unknown island, where players can hunt monsters using a variety of familiar weapons. These are showcased in the game’s new trailer, which you can check out here:
The new TGS 2025 trailer delves deeper into the world of Outlanders, featuring the game’s default protagonist, the “Adventurer”, alongside a bunch of exploitation scenes. Here, we also see the game’s extensive crafting function.
Along with the trailer, TGS 2025 (which starts today) also features the game’s first-ever demo. Specifically, players can try the game out at the Level Infinite and Capcom booths on the show floor.

Enjoy a familiar hunting experience with simple button controls
- Familiar actions can be comfortably activated with a single button press, maintaining the usual thrills Monster Hunter provides, while delivering a unique feel.
Your trusted allies: “Adventurers”
- The game’s characters are called “Adventurers,” and they come from all over the world, possessing a variety of experiences and skills. To explore unknown lands and ecosystems, each one possesses unique skills, which can be utilized to bring various benefits and effects to hunting.
Journey with New Buddies
- In this game, each Adventurer will be accompanied by a buddy. In addition to the familiar buddy Palico from the Monster Hunter series, new buddies exclusive to this game, Rutaco and Trillan, will also be introduced. Each buddy has its own unique personality, with different appearances and skills, and by training them, they can become even more reliable.
How to enjoy the game through crafting
- The game’s setting, Aesoland, is divided into several areas based on terrain and weather. By exploring each area using crafting, you can not only experience the field from different perspectives, but you may also discover special items and important clues to the quest.
Unique to the game: Large Monster “Radiant Species”
- Aesoland is home to the “Radiant Species,” monsters whose appearance and abilities are altered by the island’s unique mineral, “Radiantite.” Radiant Species will become violent during hunts, possessing increased aggression and attacking abilities.
For those who won’t be able to try the game out at TGS though, the Closed Beta test for Monster Hunter Outlanders has been announced, with recruitment starting now. Meanwhile, the beta itself is set to happen in November 2025.
