The Steam Machine has just been revealed alongside some new peripherals, but the question is: will it be released in the Philippines?
In case you missed it, Valve unveiled its new Steam Hardware line that includes a new controller, a wireless VR set, and the Steam Machine. Given the popularity of the Steam Deck, it should come as no surprise that this collection got plenty of attention from gamers, especially the new Machine.
What is the Steam Machine?

So, what exactly is the Steam Machine? Well, it’s essentially a gaming PC with a console-like form factor. It’s not just a pre-built PC with Steam branding, as it comes with SteamOS along with console-style features like an LED strip. It’s also designed to fit on or under a table for your TV, though it should also work as a small desktop. Of course, as this is still essentially a PC, you can install Windows or any other OS of your choice.
Powering the Steam Machine is a semi-custom AMD Zen 4 6C / 12T CPU with an AMD RDNA3 28CUs GPU. It also has 16GB DDR5 + 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, along with up to a 2TB NVMe SSD. The 16GB of RAM may seem a bit low, but it shouldn’t be an issue given that SteamOS is better optimized for games, meaning it won’t eat up RAM like Windows would.

Along with the Steam Machine, Valve unveiled the new Steam Controller. Unlike the first model, this one has standard analog sticks, but it still has the signature trackpads on the bottom.
Finally, there’s the Steam Frame, a proper wireless VR headset. Aside from the fact that it’s wireless (meaning it should be less awkward to use), the Frame is also designed to run non-VR games. As such, the Frame promises to be a nice alternative to a gaming display.
For now, there’s no word yet on prices for these new Steam hardware pieces.
The Steam Machine will likely be released in the Philippines by local retailers.

The Steam Machine will be released sometime in 2026 in the US and other select countries. Currently, there’s no word yet on launch plans in the Philippines.
Given that the Steam Deck was released in the Philippines by various retailers, we expect this machine to also get a PH launch, albeit not officially. While it’s likely that PH retailers will stock this machine at some point in 2026, it probably won’t get an official Valve launch here.
These are just our predictions based on the fact that the Deck also didn’t get an official Valve launch here. For now, we have to stand by until more details are shared.
