The Xbox Developer_Direct 2026 is happening next week, and it will feature three titles, including Game Freaks’ Beast of Reincarnation.
For those who missed it, Beast of Reincarnation was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase last year, and it’s an action-RPG that seems to have a concept and art style that’s inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke. while featuring combat reminiscent of games like Sekiro and Black Myth: Wukong.
More importantly, this game is being developed by Game Freak. Yes, this action-RPG is being made by the studio behind Pokémon. This makes it the first triple-A game by the studio that’s not part of the Pokémon franchise. That fact alone makes this game something that many gamers are looking forward to, meaning the Developer_Direct is definitely exciting, given that Game Freak will finally give more details about the game’s protagonist and gameplay.
Of course, that’s not the only title to be shown at Xbox’s upcoming showcase. Playground Games will also give us an in-depth look at the few Fable game, as well as the highly-anticipate Forza Horizon 6. With these three game deep dives, Xbox’s stream should be a must-watch.
