Capcom announces Yasmine Community in the Philippines, celebrating Street Fighter 6’s first Pinoy character

The Yasmine Community Event is happening in Makati next month!

To celebrate the upcoming release of Yasmine in Street Fighter 6, Capcom is holding a special community event in the Philippines.

At Summer Game Fest, Capcom unveiled its Street Fighter 6 Year 4 lineup, which includes Yasmine, the first-ever Filipino Street Fighter character. She will be released in the game on August 3 as the first in the Year 4 Character Pass.

Given that she’s the series’ first-ever Filipino character, Yasmine’s launch is no doubt an exciting one for Pinoy fighting game fans. Thus, Capcom is celebrating her launch in the Philippines with a special Yasmine Community Event.

This event is happening on August 9 at Salud! by Primera Bar & Restaurant, located in Palanan, Makati City. There, fighting game fans are invited to join a special local tournament. In case you missed Yasmine’s reveal, Capcom describes this new character as:

Hailing from the Philippines, Yasmine learned how to fight alongside her Kuya (older brother) under the guidance of her Lolo (grandfather). Following the sudden disappearance of her brother, Yasmine put down her Karambit knife until FooTube videos of a certain French supermodel inspired her to cut a path to her lost sibling. On her journey of discovery, Yasmine will use various high-speed Eskrima techniques.

Aside from Yasmine, the Year 4 Character pass also features Arjun, Tifa from the Final Fantasy VII Remake Series, and Bosch. These three other characters will be released in Autumn 2026, Early 2027, and Spring 2027, respectively.
