Taipei Game Show 2026 ended on Sunday, and over the four-day event, the show drew nearly 400,000 attendees, affirming its status as one of the region’s biggest video game conventions.
The event’s first two days featured the B2B Zone and Asia Pacific Game Summit. At the B2B Zone, Taipei Game Show hosted 2,100 business professionals from 43 countries, with lots of networking opportunities for video game developers and studios. Meanwhile, the Asia Pacific Game Summit featured two main forum stages and a total of 26 sessions. The sessions dived deep into industry trends, including AI tech and how it affects the gaming industry.
Another major highlight of this year’s event is the Indie Game Award. There, TearyHand Studio’s “and Roger” took home Grand Prix and Best Audio. Other notable winners include the Berlin Apartment, BALL x PIT, and Aeruta.
The winning indie games were showcased at the Taipei Game Show Indie House, where attendees were able to try them out. The Indie House also featured plenty of other games from across the world. And just beside was the Board Game Wonderland, which featured play areas along with special discounts for eager tabletop players.
For many, the highlight of the event was the B2C zone, as it featured plenty of massive booths and exciting tournaments. Some of the highlights include Bandai Namco’s booth, which had Elden Ring and Code Vein II play areas, along with the Monster Hunter Wilds Taiwan Championship, which was attended by Game Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and Director Yuya Tokuda.
While the 2026 event has wrapped up, at the end of it, the organizers revealed that Taipei Game Show 2027 is scheduled to take place from January 21 to 24.
