After its initial reveal earlier this week, Ubisoft has now shared a gameplay showcase for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, which also revealed its July 9, 2026, release.
As promised, the new gameplay showcase wasn’t just a short trailer, as it was an over-8-minute-long video that gives players a good idea of what to expect in this Black Flag remake. From what we’ve seen, Resynced should be a must-play for fans of the original game and for Assassin’s Creed players who missed out on it over a decade ago.

Resynced is led by Ubisoft Singapore, and it’s rebuilt from the ground up on Ubisoft’s Anvil engine. Thanks to this, the Black Flag remake should offer more dynamic, parry-driven combat. It should also offer better stealth and parkour, as well as improved naval mechanics. As a bonus, there will also be new narrative content, which promises to make the game feel fresh, even for those who have played the original AC4 multiple times.
Along with the gameplay showcase, Ubisoft confirmed that Woodkid will return to the franchise for a reimagined track for the Black Flag remake. Ubisoft also shared the system requirements for the game on PC:
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be available in the following versions:
- Standard Edition– Includes the base game.
- Deluxe Edition– This digital-only edition includes the base game plus the Master Assassin Character Pack and the Master Assassin Naval Pack.
- Collector’s Edition– Includes everything in the Deluxe Edition, plus premium physical collector’s items: Edward’s Figurine, Edward wearable metal brooch, exclusive SteelBook, cloth map, and more.
Black Flag Resynced will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. It will also be part of the Ubisoft+ Premium lineup.
