YuWave and Skystone Games recently announced that Demon Lord: Just A Block will launch on PC on April 29. Ahead of the game’s launch, players can try out a free demo, which is available now on Steam.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Demon Lord: Just a Block is an action roguelite developed by YuWave (a solo developer), where players take on the role of a decapitated Demon Lord. Their goal is to reclaim their throne after being usurped by the Black Dragon Queen Heyla.
As for gameplay, players can plan their attacks or jump right in while parrying and dodging enemy attacks. Either style should work in this game, though players must consider if the weapons, archetypes, and abilities they get during each run fit their playstyle.
Players will also go up against various bosses in this game, with each featuring a unique mechanic inspired by classic arcade puzzlers. As for the game’s world, it features procedurally generated levels that promise to give players a fresh experience every time.
Regarding this new game, YuWave said:
“Throughout my time working on Demon Lord: Just A Block, my motto has been: One developer. One computer. One game. One year. I’ve worked hard to do the art, coding, design, and everything else myself! I love turning strange ideas into games, so get ready to meet (and become) the Demon Lord next month!”
Demon Lord: Just A Block will be available for USD 12.99 on April 29 via Steam. It will launch with support for a wide array of languages, including English, Simplified & Traditional Chinese, French, German, Spanish – Spain, Russian, Japanese, Portuguese – Brazil, and Korean.
