Tales of Eternia Remastered is coming to consoles and PC this October

Eternia is the next Tales game to get the remaster treatment.

Following the release of Berseria Remastered earlier this year, Bandai Namco announced Tales of Eternia Remastered, and it’s coming this October.

Since last year, we’ve seen three Tales games get remastered as part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary remaster project. Even though it has just been a few months since Berseria’s launch, Tales fans can look forward to another remaster. What’s exciting is that the next game choice is Eternia, which is a big release, considering it’s an iconic title for the franchise.

You can check out the game’s announcement trailer here:

Tales of Eternia follows Reid Hershel and his childhood friend Farah Oersted, whose lives are changed after encountering the mysterious girl, Meredy. Soon, they discover that the catastrophic “Grand Fall” is about to befall the two divided worlds of Inferia and Celestia. Thus begins this epic adventure.

As this is a remaster and not a remake, the game’s visuals and gameplay should feel very much like the original version, albeit with a higher resolution and clearer textures. Thanks to this, players who enjoyed the original game back in the early 2000s should be delighted. Of course, while the visuals and gameplay are relics of the era, this version comes with quality-of-life features, such as the ability to turn off destination icons and enemy encounters, along with a high-speed mode for battles.

Tales of Eternia Remastered will be released on October 15, 2026, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC.
