Capcom recently announced that Pragmata has surpassed one million units sold on all platforms in just two days, giving the publisher another big hit for 2026.
Details were shared on the offiical Capcom website, and there, it was confirmed that this game has sold one million copies even before its Switch 2 release in Japan and some parts of Asia.
This gives Capcom another big hit, after Resident Evil Requiem became the franchise’s biggest game in terms of opening sales. Specifically, the last sales numbers for Requiem indicate that the game has exceeded six million copies sold, making it the fastest-selling game in the franchise.
While Requiem’s sales numbers are impressive, Pragmata selling one million copies might be even more so. After all, it’s a brand-new IP, not to mention that it has taken quite a bit longer to develop compared to other Capcom games.

Given the game’s success, we won’t be surprised if Pragmata eventually gets a sequel. In fact, it may become one of Capcom’s big new franchises. Hopefully, we do see a continuation, as we can’t get enough of its gameplay.
Pragmata is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with the Switch 2 version launching in Japan and Southeast Asia on April 24.
