D23 Asia debuts in Singapore in 2027

This marks the first-ever D23 event in Southeast Asia.

Disney fans in Southeast Asia are in for a treat, as D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is official, and it’s happening in Singapore in 2027.

While most Disney fans should be familiar with D23, for those who aren’t, here’s a quick rundown. D23 is the name of the official fan club, with the D standing for Disney and 23 standing for 1923, which was the year Walt Disney founded the company. This fan club was launched back in 2009 alongside the first D23 Expo, which happened at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Since then, D23 Expo has rebranded into “D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event,” and eight such events have taken place in Anaheim.

Aside from California, Disney has also held D23 fan events in Brazil and Japan. Next year, Disney is bringing the event to Southeast Asia with D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, happening in Singapore.

Given that the event is still a year away, there’s no word on where it will take place in Singapore, nor is there any info on a specific event date. What we do know is that the event will feature exclusive, first access to various Disney projects, along with a wide array of fan-focused activities.

“Bringing D23 to Singapore reflects the incredible passion of Disney fans across Asia Pacific and our desire to meet them where they are,” said Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “D23 Asia will bring these fans together as a community to celebrate the powerful connection they have with our stories, characters, and experiences, and to get an exciting look at what lies ahead.”

The Walt Disney Company announced today that D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will take place in Singapore for the first time in 2027, marking a major milestone in the expansion of Disney’s global fan celebrations across the Asia Pacific region.

More details, including ticketing and the complete program, will be announced soon.
