Pokémon Center pop-up is opening for the first time ever in Manila later this year

The Pokémon Center pop-up will open this October at SM Mall of Asia!

At the 30th Anniversary Press Conference earlier today, The Pokémon Company announced that the Pokémon Center Pop-up is opening in Manila at SM Mall of Asia from October 2026 to January 2027.

While there aren’t a lot of details yet, the announcement came with a render of what the pop-up will look like at Mall of Asia. From the looks of it, this shop will not only have a variety of goods in store, but there will also be an array of Pokémon statues, which should make for nice photo spots for fans.

It was also confirmed by representatives of The Pokémon Company that the pop-up will feature exclusive merch, making it a must-visit for any and every Pokémon fan.

Along with the pop-up, The Pokémon Company also announced a bunch of exciting activities, including a Pokémon Run event, an SM Supermalls partnership, Pokémon GO events, and many more.

Given the popularity of the franchise in the Philippines, coupled with the fact that Pokémon has been quite active in the country over the past years when it comes to fan activities, it makes sense that we’re going to see even more events this year to celebrate the Pokémon 30th anniversary.

While representatives from the company said during the press conference that there are no plans for a permanent store in the Philippines, the opening of the Pokémon Center Pop-up is a pretty hopeful sign. After all, we’ve seen a Nintendo Authorized store open just recently, with Animate also opening its first PH store soon.
