After its reveal a month ago, the first-ever Nintendo Authorized Store in the Philippines is finally open today at SM Makati.
Yes, the PH has finally gotten a Nintendo store, but technically, it’s not the same as the main ones in Japan. After all, these are directly managed by Nintendo. For comparison, this new store in SM Makati is co-managed by MM Soft Enterprise Corporation (one of Nintendo’s official distributors in the PH) and International Toyworld, Inc (an SM Group affiliate that manages Toy Kingdom).
Still, this looks and feels very much like a proper Nintendo store, as it features demo areas, a wide array of games, and an impressive selection of merch. Not only can you get Mario plushies, but there are also plenty of accessories and collectibles from other popular Nintendo franchises like The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing.
Ahead of today’s official opening, we got to peek inside the store. During this media preview, representatives from the store’s management were in attendance, alongside Mario and Luigi.
Meanwhile, here’s a look inside the store’s collection of Switch and Switch 2 games, as well as console accessories:
Given that many of the titles and peripherals are in stock, this promises to be a one-stop shop for Switch players and gamers who are looking to buy a new Switch console.
Even those who already have a console should still drop by, as the store has a big merch lineup. Check some of them out here:
Finally, there are Switch 2 consoles set up at the store, where interested players can try out games like Mario Tennis Fever, Mario Kart World, and more.
The Nintendo Authorized Store in the Philippines is located at Level 2 of SM Makati at the Ayala Center.
