First-ever Nintendo Authorized Store in the Philippines opens in SM Makati this May

Fans can expect Switch 2 demo areas and new Nintendo merch at the store!

Pinoy gamers are in for a treat, as the first-ever Nintendo Authorized Store in the Philippines will open in SM Makati in May 2026. The store is co-managed by MM Soft Enterprise Corporation (one of Nintendo’s official distributors in the Philippines) and International Toyworld, Inc (an SM Group affiliate that handles the Toy Kingdom chain).

This is a big deal for Pinoy gamers. After all, while Nintendo consoles have long been available in the country, the fact that an authorized store is opening means that the Philippines is becoming an important market for Nintendo consoles and merchandise.

Yes, this store will not only carry Switch consoles and games, but also a variety of official merch. Thus, this store in SM Makati promises to be a must-visit for Pinoy gamers living in or visiting the city.

While the complete merch lineup hasn’t been revealed yet, what is confirmed is that the store will carry apparel, plushies, stationery, and collectibles. There will also be interactive demo zones where gamers can try out the latest Nintendo titles on the Switch 2.

A new Nintendo Authorized Store in the Philippines makes sense, especially as events such as the Super Mario pop-up earlier this month have become quite common in the country.

While a retail store is great, we’re hoping that this means the Nintendo eShop will open in the Philippines soon, as promised last year. For now, the eShop still doesn’t support the PH, so we’re looking forward to it eventually supporting the region.

As for the Authorized Store, there’s no word on an official opening date yet, though we expect an official announcement to come soon via the official SM Makati social media pages.
