Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 launches on June 1st

Here's what you can expect in the next Honkai Star Rail version update!

After last month’s Version 4.2 update, HoYoverse announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 will be released on June 1, featuring a new 5-star and more story content.

The new update is titled “The Lethe Below the Living,” and it will continue the story of Planarcadia. In the new story content, players and Mortenax Blade will venture into the World in Canvas.

Meanwhile, the update’s story is described as:

The secret sealed deep within Planarcadia will reach its official revelation in this version. At the end of the picturesque realm lies the divine husk of the Aeon, the Voracity. This ancient entity, presiding over desire and devouring, is the very crux of Blade’s wager on this journey. Bearing the flesh of Shuhu from within two hundred thousand Joy Ascendants, Blade has chosen to step onto the board himself. He seeks to borrow the power of the Voracity to melt away the Shuhu within his own body, bringing a final end to this long-enduring curse. However, whether this action ultimately leads to death or rebirth remains a blank in Elio’s script, and the answer will be witnessed firsthand by the Trailblazer.

One of the biggest highlights of the new version update is Mortenax Blade. He is a new 5-star Fire-Type character following the Path of Nihility, and he specializes in combat, as his ultimate “Fornax Ex Corpore” deploys a Bounded Field that lets him enter an enhanced state. While this field is active, all enemies receive more DMG, and in the enhanced state, Mortenax gets a skill that uses a Sword Formation to output higher DMG. Plus, when allies attack an enemy, they inflict a debuff on the target, which increases a special Charge for Mortenax Blade. When the Charge reaches max, Mortenax can use his Skill to regenerate Energy.

Mortenax Blade will be released alongside the “Gift of Tempered Blade” event. Here, players can get a new Trailblaze Outfit piece, “Karmic Fire of the Distant Shore,” for free. Then, there’s the Yao Guang rerun in the first half, followed by reruns of Cyrene and Phainon in the second half.

Another thing to look forward to in Version 4.3 is the “Wispae Amusement Park,” which can be found in the World in Canvas. Here, players will map out visitor routes and place amusement rides across different themed zones. This is essentially a theme park management simulator, which should be a cool addition for fans of the genre. Plus, the new “Starward Mode” will be added to three challenge gameplay modes: Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow. Completing these stages will reward players with Stellar Jades.

To go along with the new version update reveal, HoYoverse announced the Honkai: Star Rail x UGREEN collab, which features new merch that will be released in various regions. Plus, HoYoverse confirmed that the Fate collab will return, this time with Rin and Gilgamesh. More details on this will be shared soon.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 will launch on all platforms on June 1, 2026.
