The brand new Xiaomi 17T Series makes its official debut, showcasing quite a few massive power upgrades here. Unveiled in Vienna, Austria, the brand-new flagship lineup introduces dual sizes to the T Series for the first time, offering the high-performance Xiaomi 17T Pro and the more compact Xiaomi 17T.
Both models are defined by their advanced Leica imaging capabilities, specifically the Leica 5x telephoto camera that is now a standard feature across the entire range. This versatility allows creators to capture everything from 30cm macro photography to an impressive 120x AI Ultra Zoom.
The primary 50MP cameras utilize ultra-large sensors—1/1.31-inch in the Pro and 1/1.55-inch in the base model—supported by Leica Summilux lenses to ensure professional dynamic range and beautifully rendered depth of field in every shot.
The series also premieres Leica Live Moment, a feature that records the fleeting movements and emotions leading up to a photograph to create more nuanced stories. This is complemented by Leica Live Portrait, which adds a natural bokeh effect to moving subjects. The visual experience is further elevated by the new Xiaomi Vision Care display, which has earned the first-ever TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care certification for its ability to manage blue light and flicker.
These 1.5K AMOLED panels reach a peak brightness of 3500 nits, ensuring clarity even in harsh sunlight. The Pro model stands out with a 144Hz refresh rate and ultra-slim 1.29mm bezels, whereas the standard 17T focuses on portability with a 120Hz screen and a streamlined, lightweight design for easy one-handed use.
Under the hood, next-generation performance is provided by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 on a 3nm process for the Pro, while the base variant uses the 4nm Dimensity 8500-Ultra. Both devices feature silicon-carbon battery technology, with the Pro housing a massive 7000mAh battery—the largest for the brand in international markets. This provides nearly two days of typical use and supports rapid 100W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge.
The series comes in Deep Blue, Deep Violet, and Opal White colorways, with prices starting at €749 for the Xiaomi 17T and €899 for the Pro. Early buyers also benefit from extended trials for Google AI Pro, YouTube Premium, and Spotify Premium. These updates solidify the company’s mission to bring flagship-level photography and endurance to users worldwide.
