Pearl Abyss recently shared a new Dev Update for Crimson Desert, highlighting the next wave of content updates for the game, along with confirmation of upcoming DLC.
Given that the game has become a huge hit (as it has sold over 5 million copies), it’s no surprise that Pearl Abyss is getting more post-launch content. To be exact, from June to September, Pearly Abyss will release updates that will add a bunch of new content, features, and quality-of-life improvements.
To start, players can expect additional combat content, with further details to be shared soon. There will also be an update to Re-Blockade, which will introduce a rework to make the flow before and after a blockade feel more natural. Plus, players will also get new ways to defend some strongholds in this rework, complete with enhanced rewards.

There will also be improvements to the story to make the game’s story more coherent and have a stronger impact. These changes will be based on player feedback. Also coming are improvements to the gameplay for Damiane and Oongka.
Finally, the game will get a cross-save feature and various quality-of-life enhancements. These include:
- Cross-Save: By linking an account, players will be able to share save files and continue across all platforms, including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
- Quality-of-Life Improvements for Non-Combat Content: Pearl Abyss will enhance non-combat content, such as trading and farming, to make them more engaging and less inconvenient.
While no specific details have been revealed so far, Pearly Abyss confirmed that work has begun on an upcoming DLC for Crimson Desert. More details will be shared soon (within the year, we hope).
Crimson Desert is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Mac.
