The Esports Foundation (EF) recently announced its lineup of performers for the Esports World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremony this July.
Even before the official venue was revealed, this year’s EWC was already shaping up to be a big one. As early as February, we got details about the Road to EWC. Soon after, it was announced that the third EWC event would not take place in Riyadh, as it would instead take place in Paris.
Fittingly, the Opening Ceremony of the Esports World Cup 2026 will feature notable French artists. The ceremony will happen in Paris at La Seine Musicale on July 8, featuring an impressive trio.
First is Aya Nakamura, aka ‘The Queen of France.” She is a popular artist known for her music that integrates various genres, including R&B, Afrobeats, and zouk. Joining Nakamura is DJ Snake, a popular DJ and EDM producer who has headlined various festivals across the world. Rounding out the lineup is Theodora, or ‘Miss Kitoko,” a breakout artist with songs that blend rap, pop, and club music.
The Esports World Cup 2026 is happening in Paris from July 6 to August 23. It will feature over 2,000 players from over 100 countries, competing across 25 tournaments. In total, the Esports World Cup has a massive USD 75 million prize pool.
