Nearly a year after its first closed beta test, HoYoverse announced that pre-registration is now open for the Honkai: Nexus Anime “Evolution Test.”
In case you missed it, Honkai: Nexus Anima is an upcoming creature-collecting adventure strategy game, and it’s the third main entry in the
“modern” Honkai Series (technically, it’s the sixth if you count the Guns Girl Z, Zombiegal Kawaii, and FlyMe2theMoon). Nexus Anima was announced back in May last year, and just a few months after, its first closed beta was held.
Now, the game is getting another beta, which is called the “Evolution Test.” This beta is happening on PC, iOS, and Android on July 9. With this, players who missed the previous tests will finally get to try out the game’s strategy combat system. And while the beta’s start date is just a bit over two weeks away, pre-registration is still open at the game’s official website.
HoYoverse describes the upcoming beta as:
In the Evolution Test, players step into the role of a plane-hopping traveler who has escaped captivity and set out from Iia, a quiet town in the Reality Plane. As the journey begins, the world of Honkai: Nexus Anima opens wider, revealing new stories, distinctive gameplay, and richer paths of exploration. Across the many Planes, Anima evolution stands among the world’s most wondrous phenomena. Each transformation is more than a change in form — it is a sign of the bond taking shape, as Anima grow stronger to protect the first moment that brought them and the player together. Beyond encountering Anima and forming lasting connections with them, players can preserve that moment through a unique photo and give each companion a name of its own. On especially fortunate days, they may even cross paths with a rare Chromatic Anima, turning an unexpected encounter into a memory unlike any other.
The Evolution Test will be a limited, closed beta test that will be free. Note that there will be a data wipe, meaning players won’t get to keep their progress when the full game launches.
More details on the beta test, as well as the Honkai: Nexus Anima release date, will be shared soon.
