AsiaPOP Comicon 2018 is a celebration of all things pop culture. Fans from all over the country flocked to SMX to join in the fun activities and awesome merchandise. Though another reason that the venue was filled with people is of course, the multitude of celebrity guests.

Much like APCCs of previous years, celebs from movies and series that are big in the geek community went to Manila for the con. One of the biggest guests is no doubt Mike Colter and Mustafa Shakir who plays Luke Cage and Bushmaster respectively.

The two Luke Cage stars held a panel at Netflix’s Hall N this year, to the delight of Pinoy Marvel fans at the convention. And before you ask, yes the men in the room all grew ovaries that day.

Aside from the Luke Cage stars, Iron Fist’s Finn Jones and Ready Player One’s Tye Sheridan were at APCC 2018. Aside from holding panels each at the Main Stage, the Jones and Sheridan had meet & greet plus autograph signing sessions for their adoring fans.

Supernatural’s Osric Chau also attended APCC this year where he held an awesome media session during which he revealed that he was working on a new movie filming right here in the Philippines.

Walk of Fame Cosplayers

Celebs from movies and tv shows weren’t the only ones to grace APCC this year, as renowned international cosplayers also attended the event. The first of which is Canvas Cosplay (seen above in his Po costume from Kung Fu Panda).

The next cosplayer is Vera Chimera, seen here in an awesome Motoko Kusanagi costume from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

Malaysian cosplayer Yugana Senshi Uon also attended APCC 2018, and she wore a great Mad Moxxi outfit from Borderlands, as well as a totally creepy Pennywise the Clown costume.

Finally, Leon Chiro made his way to the convention, to the delight of tons of fans. Leon went as All-Might himself in the second day, prompting long lines from adoring fans who’re also dressed up as My Hero Academia characters. He also had a killer Joseph Joestar outfit for the third day, complete with signature Jojo poses.

APCC fans had their fill of celebs at the convention, though it wasn’t the only reason people came in droves to the event. There was also the sheer amount of cool stuff to buy (such as the Jollibee Funko Pop), as well as all the fans that cosplayed as their fave characters!
