ONE Store Beta Now Available

Alongside the PS Plus free games lineup, Sony has announced that Persona 5 is leaving the PlayStation Plus collection for PS5 on May 11, 2022.

Specifically, Sony stated in their PlayStation BlogĀ that the hit JRPG will no longer be available for free for PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS5 after May 11. Though players who have added the game to their library before May 11 will still be able to download and play the game even after the 11th, provided that they have an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

Regarding Persona 5’s removal from the collection, Sony did not mention any particular reason. Though there is no indication that other titles will be removed, or if Persona 5 will be replaced by another game.

The PlayStation Plus Collection, in case you’re unfamiliar, is a selection of PlayStation 4 games that are available to download and play for PlayStation Plus subscribers on the PS5. This collection includes a range of PlayStation exclusives, including Bloodborne, The Last of Us Remastered, Final Fantasy 15, and more.

In related news, Sony recently announced an upcoming revamp for the PS Plus. The new version of PS Plus will go live this June, and will feature three tiers, with the highest tier featuring a selection of classic PlayStation games.
