ONE Store Beta Now Available

Masayato Games has announced that its new Filipino-made NFT game, Anito Legends, is now playable on four platforms, including PC, Mac, Android, and iOS.

While the game is now playable on PC, Mac, and mobile, the game is still currently in a closed beta, with the full launch planned for next month.

In case you’re unfamiliar, this game is a new NFT title with an auto-battler system and lore that’s inspired by Filipino mythology. Working on the game are several renowned Filipino creators, including Palanca Award-winning author and horror writer Yvette Tan, along with music duo Myth_OS (composed of Malek Lopez and Juan Miguel Sobrepena).

The gameplay is described as:

“Anito Legends is an upcoming auto-battler play-and-earn NFT title, developed by an all Filipino team. In Anito Legends, players are tasked to form a team of three (3) Anitos from four (4) different classes – the Kiwig, Sarangay, Siyokoy, and Tikbalang. Players can battle through single or multiplayer modes to earn in-game and physical rewards.”

As for its NFT component, the game will use two tokens: $LARO and $GINTO. $LARO will be used to purchase Anitos in the upcoming marketplaces as well as premium items, while $GINTO is earned in-game, which can be used to summon more Anitos or to craft premium gear.

According to the developers, while the game does indeed let players earn tokens (making it similar to other play-to-earn NFT games), it is billed more as a “play-and-earn” game as they are banking on the game’s quality, Filipino lore, and fun factor to get players to play it instead of simply to earn.

Anito Legends is scheduled to launch on June 2022.
