Bocchi the Rock is one of the biggest surprise hit anime shows of 2022, and it was just confirmed that it is coming to Netflix this March.

While Netflix hasn’t promoted the show’s release via its official social media channels, the series did appear on the upcoming shows tab on the smartphone app. There, it’s revealed that Bocchi the Rock is coming to the platform on March 10.

Of course, anime streaming rights is a particularly complicated topic as many shows are available only in select platforms in certain regions. Because of this, we can only say for certain that Bocchi the Rock is coming to Netflix in the Philippines, as well as in Malaysia based on the recent Reddit thread.

Based on the recent Chainsaw Man Netflix release, we also expect Bocchi to be available on the platform in other Southeast Asian countries, and possibly even in South Asian countries like India.

Though it’s unlikely that Bocchi will be released on Netflix outside Asia, especially as the show is available on Crunchyroll in most of the world.

In case you haven’t heard of it yet or are only familiar with the memes, Bocchi the Rock is an anime series that aired from October to December. It follows Hitori “Bocchi” Gotoh, a high school student who dreams of joining a band, though she is prevented from doing so by her extreme social anxiety.

In a stroke of luck, Bocchi meets Nijika, a drummer for a band who is looking for a new guitarist. Thus begins Bocchi’s first band experience.

If you ask us, Bocchi is one of the best anime of 2022 for its creative animation, loveable characters, and incredibly hilarious yet relatable story.

Can’t wait for the show to release on Netflix? The entire Bocchi the Rock first season is available to stream now on Bilibili.
