One Piece live-action celebration and screening happening in the Philippines this month

With the show’s release just a few weeks away, Netflix announced an upcoming celebration and screening of the One Piece live-action series in the Philippines.

Specifically, Netflix announced that it will hold a series of celebrations for the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved series. The celebrations will kick off in the US on August 24, and it will continue in France, Indonesia, Japan, Italy, Philippines, Thailand, Germany, Brazil, and Mexico.

In the Philippines, the One Piece live-action celebration will happen in Taguig, presumably somewhere in BGC. While there’s no specific time and venue yet, this upcoming celebration will be a must-attend for the biggest Pinoy One Piece fans.

More details about the event will likely be revealed in the coming days.

Netflix and Eiichiro Oda first announced the One Piece live-action series back in 2020. Though it was only earlier this year that Netflix finally started promoting the series, first with a teaser visual, followed by a teaser trailer a few months after.

Finally, Netflix released the show’s official trailer back in July, giving fans all over the world their best look yet at Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji in action; as well as the other denizens of the East Blue that the Straw Hats will face in their journey.

The One Piece live-action series will be released worldwide on August 31, 2023, exclusively on Netflix.
