Lisa Frankenstein starring Liza Soberano gets an official Philippines cinema release date

Lisa Frankenstein is Liza Soberano's Hollywood debut, and it's coming to PH cinemas this February.

Universal Pictures recently announced that the movie Lisa Frankenstein starring Liza Soberano will be released in cinemas in the Philippines this February 2024.

This upcoming horror-comedy is one that many Filipinos are keen on seeing as it’s the Hollywood debut of Liza Soberano. In the film, she plays Taffy, the friend of main character Lisa (played by Kathryn Newton). Also part of the cast is Cole Sprouse of Riverdale fame.

Lisa Frankenstein is described:

“This movie is a coming-of-rage love story about a misunderstood teenager and her high school crush who happens to be a handsome corpse.  Against all odds and after all the horrific circumstances that brought him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness, and a few missing body parts along the way.”

What’s also exciting about this movie is that it’s written by Diablo Cody, the writer of the critically acclaimed Juno and the cult hit Jennifer’s Body. Plus, the film is directed by Zelda Williams (daughter of actor Robin Williams), and this movie is her directorial debut.

The Lisa Frankenstein movie is coming to cinemas in the Philippines on February 7, 2024. This film is expected to get a wide cinema release, though a full cinema list will be revealed closer to its release date.
