Madame Web is the next feature film in the Sony Spider-Man Universe, and Columbia Pictures finally released an official trailer for it.

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (not connected to the MCU) includes films like Venom, Morbius, and the upcoming Kraven the Hunter film. Interestingly, even though Kraven got a lot of interest with its trailer, Madame Web will be released in cinemas first.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Madame Web first appeared in 1980, and she has a clairvoyant mutant that usually supports Spider-Man in various storylines.

Columbia Pictures describes the film as:

“‘Meanwhile, in another universe…’ In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revela’tions about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures…if they can all survive a deadly present.

Madame Web is set to be released in cinemas in the US on February 14, 2024. Currently, there’s no info yet on a specific release date for the movie in the Philippines.
