Xbox recently started rolling out the Copilot for Gaming beta on mobile, promising an easy-to-use AI assistant tailored for games.
The release of this special version of Copilot was revealed in an Xbox Wire post where details were also shared. To be exact, this beta of the gaming Copilot version lets users access the AI assistant on a second screen (like a phone or tablet) without distracting them from what they’re playing.
While you can ask gaming-related questions to many other AI assistants, what makes Copilot more suited for helping with Xbox games is that it knows your gaming history and Xbox activity. As such, you should get better, more relevant answers.
For instance, if you’re playing Minecraft, you can quickly ask a question about crafting details. You can also get tips for bosses in games like Elden Ring, among others.

For those interested, the Copilot for Gaming beta is available in English for players aged 18 and older in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, and other select regions via the beta version of Xbox app for mobile. Here are all the currently supported regions, though Xbox stated that more regions will be supported soon.
Aside from mobile, early testing for Copilot for Gaming (Beta) will also be coming soon to Game Bar on Windows PC. Plus, it will also be rolled out more widely in the Xbox app for mobile soon.
