Ahead of the game’s launch this September, SEGA shared a new trailer for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, featuring the game’s customization options and gadgets.
To be exact, the game will feature over 70 gadgets to choose from, meaning players will be able to craft a racing machine that complements their playstyle. The customization doesn’t just extend to playstyle as players will also be able to tweak colors, decals, and textures, with over 70,000 machine combinations available.

As its title implies, CrossWorlds, the new Sonic Racing game will feature plenty of popular SEGA and Atlus characters, including the likes of Joker from Persona 5, as well as Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon. Fittingly, these characters also come with matching karts that’s sure to delight fans of their respective franchises.
The crossovers aren’t just limited to SEGA and Atlus games though. CrossWorlds will also feature surprise appearances from characters SpongeBob SquarePants, Hatsune Miku, and even Steve from Minecraft. Soon, more guest characters will also come to the game via DLC.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 25, 2025.
