Fresh after the release of the Shibuya Incident x Culling Game movie, Jujutsu Kaisen has teamed up with JR East for a special Tohoku Shinkansen collab. This project celebrates both the anime’s 5th anniversary, as well as the upcoming release of the Culling Game arc.
This new collab will begin on December 17, with the complete details being available right now on the JR East website. As part of this campaign, Jujutsu Kaisen fans can ride a special themed train, listen to special recordings inside the train, and participate in a digital stamp rally to get special prizes.
To start, the Jujutsu Kaisen x JR East collab will feature an E5 Series Shinkansen with decals of the show’s various characters. For those unfamiliar, the E5 Series is the rolling stock used for the Tohoku Shinkansen, which runs between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori Station. This means fans will need to ride the Shinkansen northwards from Tokyo if they want to ride this train.

While it seems that the interior won’t get the JJK treatment, the special train should still be well worth snapping pics of if you’re a fan of the series.
All 10 cars of the E5 Series set feature decals. Here’s a look at the complete design:

There may not be any special interior displays in this train, but fans can participate in an audio campaign. By downloading the audio AR service Locatone, fans can listen to original voice lines from Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuta Okkotsu, and Choso (voiced by their respective voice actors).
Participating in this audio campaign will reward fans with a special acrylic keychain. This can be redeemed at the Takanawa Gateway Travel Service Center in Tokyo and the Eki Tabi Concierge at JR Sendai Station.

Finally, fans can participate in a digital stamp rally by downloading the Ekitag app. When fans visit one of the 12 participating stations between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori, they can get a stamp on Ekitag. Getting all 12 stamps will reward fans with special posters, with some being signed by Yuji Itadori VA, Junya Enoki.

JR East has done various anime collabs over the years, but typically, JR Central (which operates the Tokaido Shinkansen) does more anime crossovers. This JJK collab, being a project with JR East, makes a lot of sense though, especially given that the city of Sendai will be a key location in the upcoming Culling Game Arc.
The Jujutsu Kaisen x JR East collab is happening from December 17, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
Meanwhile, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will be released on January 8, 2026.
