HONOR puts the spotlight on its AI Connect Platform at MWC 2026

HONOR highlighted its new AI ecosystem vision during the ConnectAI panel discussion at Mobile World Congress.

HONOR recently highlighted its plans for the HONOR AI Connect Platform at Mobile World Congress 2026. Specifically, HONOR outlined its AI ecosystem blueprint at the ConnectAI panel discussion that opened MOWC 2025. As part of the brand’s plans, its AI Connect Platform aims to integrate over 20,000 AI services by the end of the year.

The panel discussion featured Fang Fei, President of Products at HONOR, who was joined by Philippe Lucas, Orange Innovation Executive Vice President Partnerships, Content, and Devices. There, Fei and Lucas had a conversation about future AI innovations when it comes to personal devices, with the central theme of “breaking walls.” They also highlighted HONOR and Orange’s partnership to expand into new product categories like education, smart home, and others.

During the panel discussion, Fei noted that the tech industry is on the verge of a “Cambrian Explosion” in AI devices. In case you need a science history refresher, the Cambrian Explosion happened over 500 million years ago, and it marked a major turning point for life on Earth, as it saw the transformation of many simpler species start evolving into more complex forms. In the same way, Fei believes that while AI has made inroads over the past years, we’re still on the cusp of an even bigger AI explosion regarding how these technologies will be integrated into consumer devices. As such, Fei stated that we will see even new forms of AI in smartphones and other personal devices.

HONOR’s approach to future AI innovations can be seen in two main areas. For starters, the HONOR AI Connect Platform aims to integrate AI tech into various product lines. How it works is that HONOR’s AI agent will understand a user’s habits and intent from their phone, and then carry that over to other smart products/devices in the HONOR ecosystem, ranging from smart home devices and cars.

On the hardware side, there’s also the new Robot Phone, a smartphone that features a robotic gimbal arm that is designed to act smartly, aiding users in getting more cinematic videos. This phone concept also packs other unique features like more expressive interactions through its range of robotic motions.

“At HONOR, we believe ‘walled gardens’ should be a thing of the past,” said Fei. “Our vision is simple. We want to combine our human-centric approach with technology to maximize the potential of every person. To do this we are creating AI companions that make users more creative, and more connected.”

Along with the new Robot Phone, HONOR also introduced its latest flagship foldable, the Magic V6, at this year’s MWC.
