As promised, Capcom recently shared a free update for Resident Evil Requiem, which adds the new “Leon Must Die Forever” game mode.
In this mode, players must go through multiple stages within a certain time limit. Specifically, players must go through 20 levels, after which they’ll be greeted by Victor Gideon, who they must face as the final boss. Each level is based on areas in the campaign, though the enemies and items are randomized, giving it a rogulite feel.
To help players, Leon has abilities that are strengthened by defeating enemies. On the flip side, enemies become tougher as players progress, meaning players should get quite a challenge here.
Along with the new mode, players can also unlock hilarious new Leon outfits, including one with cat ears, a helmet of his Porsche, and more.

This new update is available now on all platforms for free, though this won’t be the only post-launch content that fans can expect. After all, Capcom already confirmed weeks after launch that new Requiem story DLC is being developed.
