PlayStation recently unveiled the special “Icon Blue” edition of the PS5 DualSense controller, and it’s coming to Japan this August.
Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of DualSense controllers in unique colorways. For instance, there are the limited-edition controllers inspired by PlayStation Studios titles, including Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei. There are also eye-catching non-limited versions like the Hyperpop collection, which was released earlier this year.
Now, PlayStation has revealed the “Icon Blue” DualSense. This special edition controller features a two-tone blue and navy color scheme. This colorway is inspired by “PlayStation Blue,” which is the brand’s signature color starting from the PS4 era. Fittingly, this controller comes with a touchpad with PlayStation icons printed all over. Plus, the back of the controller features “PlayStation” printed in Katakana.
The controller was revealed via the Japanese PlayStation Blog. Given that the official PS Blog and social media pages outside Japan haven’t shared info about this DualSense, this will likely be released exclusively in Japan.
This controller is priced at JPY 12,480, and pre-orders will open on June 30 at 10 AM JST. It will then be released on August 6, 2026.
For now, there’s no word on whether this controller will be released outside Japan. Hopefully, it does, as this special DualSense looks quite striking, making it a nice piece for PlayStation fans and collectors.
