Looks like you won’t get a break from collecting Magic: The Gathering anytime soon. Just a few days after the release of Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate, Wizards of the Coast is preparing for another big set coming this July with Double Masters 2022.

For those who missed out on the first one, Double Masters 2022 features some very spicy and desirable cards coming Magic: The Gathering’s rich history. For fans of the game, this set is always eagerly anticipated because of the many useful spells that were otherwise either not yet reprinted or is available for a pretty penny.

And we got our first taste of what cards to expect from the next set! Take a look at their latest preview spoilers below:

First of all, THANK YOU Wizards of the Coast for printing Dockside Extortionist, a heavily requested card back from 2019’s commander precons but more importantly…

Thank you for bringing back to print IMPERIAL SEAL! This was one card that was sure I’m never going to own in my lifetime because of the hefty price tag on it. At least with this reprint, both old and new players now have a greater access to this Vampiric Tutor.

With that said, spoiler season is in full swing again for Double Masters 2022 and we are lucky to be given another chance to preview a card for the set. A rare one nonetheless!

Before we make the reveal, we would like to thank our good friends over at Wizards of the Coast.

Let’s take a look at Abzan Ascendency.

Abzan Ascendency is a green, white, black enchantment that boosts your creatures that are already on the battlefield, giving them all a +1/+1 counter. It also has a unique trick up it’s sleeve when a creature you control dies, it gets its second wind in the form of a 1/1 spirit flyer! Perfect in a spirit deck that supports the colors but more importantly, this will surely give players who like to wipe the board with Wrath spells a second thought!

Double Masters 2022 releases in July 8, with pre-release events happening the week usually the week before. Check out Magic: The Gathering’s store locator here to find a gaming place near you!

Again thank you to Wizards of the Coast for sharing this preview card. Keep on gaming!
