Ares Games to present Kings of Middle-earth expansion in Essen Spiel 2023

Expect two highly anticipated War of the Ring expansions coming from Ares Games!

September 28th, 2023 – Ares Games will be present at Essen Spiel 2023 (October 5-8, Essen, Germany, Hall 3 A-105), with the pre-release of Quartermaster General: East Front and Kings of Middle-earth, both due to release later this year. Quartermaster General: East Frontis a fast-playing card-driven game which depicts the deadly struggle between the Soviet Union and Germany, with an in-depth look at one of the major operational theatres of the World War.

Kings of Middle-earth is the new, long awaited expansion for War of the Ring board game, focused on the role of the rulers of the Free Peoples, and their weaknesses, expanding the part they played in the story and adding Sovereigns and Dark Chieftains to the game.

The first copies of other upcoming releases will also arrive at the show: Against the Shadow, solo and cooperative expansion for War of the Ring – The Card Game, and the WW1 Wings of Glory observation balloons Caquot M/Ae 800 Drachen and the new Nieuport 16 Airplane Packs. The recent releases The Rich and the Good, Cangaceiros, and Ensemble will be also demoed and available for sale at the show.
