HoYoverse reveals Tokyo Game Show 2023 lineup

From Honkai Star Rail to Zenless Zone Zero, here's what you can expect from HoYoverse at Tokyo Game Show 2023.

After its Opening Night Live 2023 announcements, HoYoverse is gearing up once again for more, this time at Tokyo Game Show 2023 (TGS 2023).

As TGS is one of the biggest video game events in Asia, HoYoverse is pulling out all the stops as it is getting ready with showcases and experiences at the event for the following titles:  Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis, and Zenless Zone Zero.

Specifically, these games will be featured in offline exhibitions, online programs, and more. So, here’s a rundown of what you can expect per HoYoverse title at Tokyo Game Show 2023:

  • Genshin Impact – a themed area will be at TGS 2023 featuring elements from Fontaine. There, fans can take photos with their favorite characters while enjoying the scenery. Plus, attendees can participate in various challenges where giveaways will be up for grabs.
  • Honkai Star Rail – a booth based on the Xianzhou Luofu will be at this year’s TGS. Fans can enjoy various displays there, as well as try out the upcoming PS5 version. Finally, a stage performance and voice actor talk show will take place at the event.
  • Honkai Impact 3rd – an offline exhibition will be held for the game for the first time ever at TGS where fans can take photos with standees and cosplayers. There will also be stage performances and various offline activities, complete with gifts that are up for grabs.
  • Tears of Themis – the romance detective game is also getting some love as an exhibition area will be set up with 2nd-anniversary limited edition character standees, as well as free merch that fans can get their hands on.
  • Zenless Zone Zero – HoYoverse’s upcoming action RPG will be exhibited at TGS 2023 for the first time. Aside from photo opportunities, Zenless Zone Zero will also get various in-person activities with merch up for grabs, as well as hands-on demos of the game. Topping these off is a voice actor talk show online on September 22.

For those who won’t be able to visit the event in-person, HoYoverse will also present an online special program covering the five games at TGS 2023. This program will feature voice actors from the games, as well as announcements of new information.

This stream will go live on September 22, 2023, at 7 PM Japan time (6 PM PH time), and it will be streamed on the official TGS website.

Tokyo Game Show 2023 will happen from September 21 to 24, 2023, at Makuhari Messe.
