ManiPopCon 2023 is shaping up to be an exciting pop culture event in the Philippines as it was revealed that Emily Swallow from The Mandalorian is dropping by.
The Manila Pop Culture Convention (ManiPopCon) already drew a lot of attention recently when it announced that One Piece star Mackenyu is attending the event as one of its special guests.
Now, it’s confirmed that another popular guest is coming to the Philippines for the event, and it’s none other than Emily Swallow. She is an actress who is best known for playing the Armorer in Disney+’s The Mandalorian.
For those who need a quick refresher, the Armorer is an enigmatic character in the Mandalorian who leads a tribe and guides the protagonist Din Djarin. The Armorer also mends Din Djarin’s iconic armor.
Aside from her Mandalorian role, Swallow is also known for playing Special Agent Kim Fischer in The Mentalist and Amara/The Darkness in Supernatural.
As for what to expect at the event, Swallow, will share some behind-the-scenes stories and more in an interactive Q&A session that’s sure to delight Star Wars fans.
“I have been all over the world this year meeting spectacular fans in phenomenal conventions,” said Swallow. “I have been hosted by the best hosts and seen the most amazing cosplay but I need to see more. I’ve only been to four continents and I thought, why not do one more. How about I come to the Philippines?.”
