A Noir Detective Interactive Story? Yes, please!

ONE Store Beta Now Available

Interactive story games, when done right, really do hit hard and are able to give some of the best video game experiences out there. If you’re a fan of the genre and a Noir-type story set in a dystopian city sounds appealing to you, then you may be in for a treat! Critical Hit Games and PLAION have announced the coming of a game called Nobody Wants to Die and it’s coming this year!

Nobody Wants to Die, as mentioned above, is an interactive noir story game set in the year 2329 on a dystopian version of New York City where the concepts of Time and Immortality take center stage since time manipulation as well as storing one’s consciousness into data to be transferred to another body are now possible. In this game, you will be playing as Mortality Department Detective James Karra as you use time manipulation along with a lot of future tech to get to the bottom of various crime scenes and mysteries by reconstructing past events to find clues. Will you be able to discover the identity of the killer behind it all?

The Polish studio, Critical Hit Games, have utilized Unreal Engine 5 for Nobody Wants To Die where they combine realistic cinema graphics and a unique narrative experience to immerse the player into the world they’ve made.

With a premise this interesting, you won’t be faulted for being excited and curious. The good news is that we won’t have to wait that long to find out more about the game and to finally play it as the game is slated to be launched later this year.

Nobody Wants to Die will be available for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2024.

Stay tuned to UnGeek as we cover more news on its release.
