Following its release on PC earlier this year, SEGA announced that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O is coming to consoles, including PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch 2.
In case you missed it, R.E.V.O is the PC release of Ultimate Showdown, an enhanced remaster of the fifth Virtua Fighter game that was released back in 2021 on the PS4. This PC version came out in January of this year, though fans can soon look forward to a release on current-gen consoles, including Nintendo’s upcoming Switch successor.
This version of R.E.V.O will have crossplay, as well as rollback netcode for a better online multiplayer experience on all platforms. As a bonus, DLC for the game is in the works.

Along with the confirmation of the game’s console release, SEGA also unveiled the Virtua Fighter Open Championship Roadmap. This is the first-ever official global tournament for the series, and it will feature an Asia Qualifier in Japan, as well as an event at EVO Las Vegas.
More details about the Championship Roadmap can be found on the official Virtua Fighter Open Championship website!
