Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage open beta starts on October 2

The game is coming to consoles later this month!

SEGA recently announced that the open beta for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will happen from October 2 to 7, 2025.

In case you missed it, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is the upcoming PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 version of Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown, which itself is a remaster of the original VF5. Ultimate Showdown was released on PC earlier this year as R.E.V.O., though this version will also be updated to the “World Stage” edition later this month alongside the PS5 and Series X|S release.

Before that happens, R.E.V.O. World Stage will hold an Open Beta from October 2 at 11 AM to October 7 at 10:59 AM. During the beta, players can try out the game on their platform of choice (except the Switch 2). Players can join the Open Beta through the PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam store page for the game. As a bonus, licensed PS4 fight sticks will be supported during the test.

Along with the beta, SEGA also announced the Virtua Fighter Open Championship, happening at TOKYO NODE in Toranomon Hills on March 1, 2026. Here are the details:
