It has been over a decade since the release of Alien: Isolation, and now, Creative Assembly has shared a teaser for the long-awaited sequel.
Even though it’s a fairly short teaser, it has gotten a lot of Alien fans excited. After all, given that it has been twelve years since Isolation was released, the fact that a follow-up is being developed is a small miracle. As such, many comments in the teaser say that they hope the developers will take their time in crafting a sequel that will live up to the original.
Even though this is the proper follow-up to Isolation, fans did get a new Alien game fairly recently, as Rogue Incursion was released in late 2024. Of course, that game was a VR-exclusive, meaning it’s not exactly a title that’s accessible to many players. Thus, having an Isolation sequel in the works is great news.
It has taken some time for Creative Assembly to start work on the sequel, though it comes at the right time. After all, the Alien franchise has seen quite a resurgence in the past years, as we’ve been treated to acclaimed projects like the movie Alien: Romulus and the series Alien: Earth.
Given that the Alien: Isolation sequel only got a short teaser, we’ll have to wait a while for a proper reveal. Hopefully, we will get more news later this year.
