They hype of Final Fantasy XV finally got to me. Sure we’ve playtested this much-anticipated game a full week before its commercial release yesterday and, sure, we’ve heard about the various marketing and merchandising effort of the franchise from cars to audio peripherals, and we’ve even oogled at the luxuriously-looking PS4 Slim FFXV Luna Edition at Tokyo Game Show but that didn’t really warrant that I pick the unit up considering I already had a working PS4. I mean, why would I, right? That’s crazy, right? Right? 🙁

So what pushed me to the brink of my (admittedly short) emotional temperament?
Well….I mean, just look at it!

Aside from the 1 TB upgrade (I owned a 500G PS4 Unit), this limited special edition of the PS4 Slim comes with a beautifully finished top – think lacquered boxes—adorned with gold-etched Final Fantasy XV text logo and the names of the four main protagonist.

The controller also sports a roman numeral 15 “XV” on the right handle just to add to the overall theme.

The Unit comes with the Standard Game with 2 DLCS – the Day 1 Masamune and a Random drop one. But more than that, this limited ed unit also comes with its own PS4 Theme –and a digital copy of FFXV a King’s Tale – a side-scroller bash ‘em-up starring King Regis and his cohorts.
The PlayStation 4 Final Fantasy XV Luna Edition bundle is extremely limited (the Datablitz where I bought this only had 2 units at hand) but it’s also the most cost-efficient bundle of a PS4 Slim currently in the market. At Php 21,495 (some stores, like Datablitz, gives a 1000-peso discount if you purchase in cash), you effectively save roughly Php 500 versus buying a 1 TB PS4 Slim and the Standard Edition of the game. So for 500 pesos more you get a normal PS4 Slim (without the additional DLCS, and the uber luxe design) and a base game. THINK ABOUT IT! If you’re ever in the market for a new PlayStation 4 and wanted to play the latest addition to the Final Fantasy franchise then you best make way to the various gaming shops to see if you can score this sweet, sweet unit.

Oh and if you want to see how awesome the artwork is, check this out.
Final Fantasy XV was released worldwide last November 29, 2016

Hi there, I also purchased the PS4 Luna Edition. I am just wondering if your copy of the game comes with a promotional pamphlet of Kingdom Hearts 2.8? Because mine doesn’t have one. Based from what I saw over the web, some posted they have the pamphlet.
TIA
Hey man,
Nope. No pamphlet for Kingdom Hearts 2.8. Just the usual codes for Luna Edition Theme and FFXV a King’s Tale game.
🙂
Hi there, i’ve also purchased PS4 Luna Edition, but mine doesn’t comes with the FFXV theme, only has the game “A King’s Tale” which was redeemed using the code. Why is that so?
Hey Xep,
The code for A King’s Tale includes the theme for the Luna Edition. The code was printed (scratch card type) on a plain white card, right? That would be it. 🙂
Hi,
Yes i got that too, the thing is i’ve already redeemed it through PS4 internet brower, what i got after redeeming it is the King’s Tale game only.. no other downloads for the theme which was shown like the picture you posted. Do you think is it possible because of different country/ region lock?
That shouldn’t be the case to be honest. Hmm…did you try checking the downloads folder? I’m trying to remember how I activated my theme. As far as I remember, I just really entered one code. And I got prompted for a theme and the game itself.
In any case, you can try raising your concerns to their customer support staff.

Hope that helps. 🙂
Hi Colin,
Yes, i’ve already checked the download folder, still don’t see any theme besides from the mini game. If that’s the case then i could try using the support. Thanks a lot Colin for taking the time to help me. Have a good day.
