Lord of the Rings preview just revealed the rarest Magic: The Gathering card in existence

Once card to rule them all.

ONE Store Beta Now Available

During Magic: The Gathering’s latest stream, we got a small sampling of cards to expect in the next modern-legal set titled The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth.

Perhaps the most important revelation is that one of the artifact cards mentioned previously – The One Ring will have a special serialized 1/1 variant.

Check it out below:

Yes, you read that right. Much like the books, a ring will be made that will be the only one in existence which, effectively makes it one of the rarest Magic: The Gathering cards ever!

The card is quite unique as its ability text box instead states the popular line from the books:

“One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them, One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them; In the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie.”

Based on their infographic, you will have the chance to pull this rare item in one random English-language Collector Booster as the product releases its first wave.

Previously, the company made serialized numbers of cards that can be found in the collector booster products, but this is the first time that Wizards of the Coast made something special such as this one. And they partnered it with a franchise like Lord of the Rings, nonetheless, making it extra special.

No one really knows how much it will be worth. If monetary-value was out of the question, the first thing that jumped to my imagination is that it would probably make some good content if someone pulled this on video, then going to the nearest active volcano and dumping it into the lava. Kidding-aside, I can expect a ton of box-opening videos with creators hoping to get this Willy Wonka Chocolate-esque lottery card.
