Sonic Origins Plus is now available on consoles and PC
Sonic Origins Plus adds 12 Sonic Game Gear titles, playable Knuckles in Sonic CD, and playable Amy Rose!
Following its announcement back in March, Sonic Origins Plus is finally available on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC.
In case you missed its reveal, Sonic Origins Plus is a new version of Sonic Origins that comes with the base game and DLC. This new version is out now on PS5, PS4, and Switch in physical and digital versions. Meanwhile, only digital versions are available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
So, what exactly is Sonic Origins Plus? This new version of Sonic Origins comes with playable Knuckles in Sonic CD, as well as Amy Rose as a playable character in Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD. As a bonus, it also comes with 12 Sonic Game Gear titles, along with previously released add-on content that include Extreme Missions, Mirror Mode, and more.
The 12 Game Gear titles in this new version include:
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2
- Sonic Chaos
- Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble
- Sonic Drift
- Sonic Drift 2
- Sonic Spinball
- Tails Adventure

- Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
- Tails’ Skypatrol
While Plus is out now as a complete package, for those who already own the base game, the Sonic Origins: Expansion Pack is also available as an extra purchase. By purchasing this pack, players can get the bonus contents of Plus, without the need to buy the game again.
