The Pokemon Unite Philippines Open 2023 is happening this December

Pokemon Unite recently announced the upcoming Philippines Open 2023, a tournament that will happen this December. Here, the top Pinoy Pokemon Unite teams will face off for the lion’s share of the USD 20,000 prize pool, as well as for the chance to represent the country at the Asia Champions League 2024 event,

This tournament will begin on December 2, and it will feature a four-day online format that takes place over two weekends. The first weekend from December 2-3 will feature the qualifier stage where 256 teams will face off in a single elimination best-of-three format.

Then, December 9-10 will feature the playoffs stage where the top eight teams will participate in a double-elimination bracket format. On the final day, the top three pro teams would be seeded going into the Playoffs.

Finally, the top two teams will move forward to the Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2024 that’s happening in Bangkok. These two teams will represent the Philippines at the regional stage.

Pokemon Unite is the MOBA game that was released in 2021 on Android, iOS, and Switch. Aside from offering a unique MOBA spin on the iconic franchise, Unite has also established itself as an esports title with a fairly sizeable fan and playerbase.

All Pokemon Unite Philippines Open 2023 games will be live streamed on the Dark League Studios Facebook page on December 2-3 and December 9-10.
