Marvel fans may want to get ready for this as NetEase Games and Marvel Games revealed Marvel Rivals, an upcoming hero shooter that will be released on PC.
Yes, since this is a hero shooter, you can think of it like Overwatch but with Marvel heroes (and villains). Of course, that’s not to say that it’s a pure Overwatch clone. That’s because it promises some unique skills for heroes, coupled with the fact that it features third-person shooter gameplay.

Along with the game’s trailer, NetEase Games shared new details on Marvel Rivals:
A Deep and Varied Marvel Roster: Choose from a vast array of fan-favorite and cult-classic Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains from across the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, and many more from across the Marvel Multiverse. With the Alpha Test in May, players will have access to more than a dozen playable Super Heroes and Super Villains, including iconic characters such as Black Panther, Spider-Man, Magneto, and Magik.

As for its story, the game will feature a face-off between Doctor Doom and his future counterpart from 2099. Yes, this means the game’s story will feature some multiversal shenanigans where heroes and villains from across the multiverse must team up or face-off to defeat both Doctor Dooms.
Marvel Rivals is set to be released on PC, though there’s no word yet on a specific release date. What we do know is that NetEase and Marvel Games plan to hold an Alpha test in May.
