Like a Dragon Gaiden gets theme song by Yojiro Noda and JID

At the recent RGG Summit Fall 2023 stream, RGG Studio revealed “片時” (Katatoki from here onwards), an original song from Yojiro Noda and JID which serves as the main theme for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.

Much like the theme songs of previous games in the series, this song is featured in the game’s opening cinematic. Fans don’t have to wait until the game’s release to see the opening cinematic though as it has been released on SEGA’s official channels. It’s definitely a must-see for fans as it also gives a glimpse into Like a Dragon Gaiden’s story.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Yojiro Noda is a popular singer who is perhaps best known for being the frontman of the popular rock band RADWIMPS. Most anime fans should be familiar with RADWIMPS as the band composed the soundtracks for Makoto Shinkai’s Your Name, Weathering With You, and Suzume.

Meanwhile, JID is a popular hip hop artist hailing from Atlanta who has released three acclaimed albums in recent years. JID is also associated with Spillage Village, an Atlanta collective that also features EarthGang and 6lack.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on November 9, 2023.
